WebWatch Report Examines Photos on the Web
The billions of photographs and videos now available on the Web are increasingly difficult to interpret. Were the subjects staged? Was the image manipulated? Was the subject’s privacy respected? WebWatch commissioned a report by NYU professor Fred Ritchin to explore these issues and provide consumers with a useful guide to Web imagery. New York Internet Users Report Problems with Protecting Personal Data
Almost one in five New York state Internet users received a notification from their bank or credit card issuer in the last year saying personal or financial information had been compromised, according to a statewide survey. The survey was commissioned by WebWatch in conjunction with its "Look Before You Click" campaign.
