Tracey Weber's business cards are running out of room. Since being named Travelocity’s vice president air she’s managed to add "car," "last minute deals" and "senior" to the mix. At the rate she’s going, "Multi-Task Master" or "Chief Juggler" may end up being the most fitting way to explain the many talents she lends to world’s sixth largest travel agency.
Weber’s responsibilities include day-to-day management of Travelocity’s air, car, and last minute packaging products, plus the supplier relationships that surround each line of business. Prior to this, Weber was deeply involved in the launch of Travelocity’s TotalTripSM dynamic packaging shopping engine as well as in the development of Travelocity’s net rate hotel program, playing a key role in operations, content strategy and management.
Weber came to Travelocity from Site59, the leading last-minute online travel Web site, when it was acquired by Travelocity in March 2002. She was a co-founder of Site59 and also served as the company’s chief operating officer. Prior to joining the travel industry, Weber was a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
Weber earned her master’s of business administration from The Wharton School of Management and her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
Favorite Travel Moment
"My husband and I were absolutely mesmerized by the ruins of Rome. We stayed near the Forum and spent several wonderful evenings aimlessly wandering the streets, immersed in the local cuisine – we were totally captivated by our surroundings."
