Steve Furman

Steve Furman is the Marketing Director for E-Commerce at Discover Financial Services, a business unit of Morgan Stanley, which operates the Discover® Card.

In this role, Furman is responsible for delivering a relevant and meaningful online experience to consumers through Discovercard.com. The site gives customers Account access and the ability to control and customize their financial relationship with the Discover® Card to meet their needs.

Prior to Discover, Furman started his own consulting firm, Expedient MEANS, where he specialized in helping companies develop Internet strategies. Before this, Furman was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Questar, a multi-media company, where his responsibilities included developing interactive programming.

Furman began his professional career with Charles Levy Company, one of the world’s largest distributors of books and magazines, where he held various roles within the company’s retail bookstore business, home entertainment, and video and music units. While at Levy, Furman was invited by Universal Studios to join an elite marketing team of industry leaders to review and comment on the marketing and advertising plan for the historic video release of “ET: The Extra-Terrestrial.”
